*Before you start reading this, I just want to add a caveat that if you’re breastfeeding our top buy probably isn’t for you right now.
Our top buy so far has been the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine – basically, a Tassimo machine for your baby’s formula milk. When C spent two weeks in hospital she had to stop breastfeeding I think I did about 3 nights of bottle feeding warming them up as he wanted them before ordering one of these.
It just makes it super easy, and quick to get a bottle ready – something like 3 minutes and you’ve got a bottle ready at drinking temp. It makes a world of difference when it’s 3am, you’ve got a screaming baby and you’re waiting for a bottle to warm up or waiting for a freshly made one to cool down.
We picked it up for like £50 but it’s worth noting this isn’t the newest model. I wasn’t paying an extra £70 for a quieter beep and a gentler light one the newer model which had just been released – but that’s just me being tight.
An honourable mention should also go to the feeding pillow C got for breastfeeding – for two reasons. One, it was a good feeding pillow. Two, since C had to stop breastfeeding is has become the best napping pillow ever. Evidence below:
